Your Right to Delete Your Data

At STAKS (developed by Panoramix LLC), we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. You can request deletion of your STAKS account and associated personal data at any time, or you can request deletion of specific data without deleting your account.

This page explains how to request full account deletion or partial data deletion, what data will be deleted, what data may be retained, and how long the process takes.

How to Request Data Deletion

You can request either full account deletion (removes your account and all data) or partial data deletion (removes specific data while keeping your account active).

Option A: Full Account Deletion

To delete your entire STAKS account and all associated data, choose one of these methods:

In-App Deletion (Recommended)

Step 1

Open the STAKS app on your mobile device

Step 2

Navigate to Profile → Settings

Step 3

Scroll down and tap Account

Step 4

Tap Delete Account

Step 5

Review the information about what will be deleted

Step 6

Confirm deletion by entering your password

Step 7

Tap Delete My Account to confirm

Note: You will receive a confirmation email once your account deletion request has been processed.

Email Request

Send an email to privacy@staks.in

Step 2

Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"

Step 3

Include the following information:

  • Your full name
  • Email address associated with your STAKS account
  • Confirmation that you want to delete your account and all associated data
Step 4

We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days

Note: For security purposes, we may ask you to verify your identity before processing email deletion requests.

Option B: Partial Data Deletion (Keep Your Account)

If you want to delete specific data without closing your account, you can request partial deletion:

Request Partial Data Deletion

Step 1

Send an email to privacy@staks.in

Step 2

Use the subject line: "Partial Data Deletion Request"

Step 3

Include the following information:

  • Your full name
  • Email address associated with your STAKS account
  • Specific data you want deleted (choose from the categories below)
Step 4

We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days

Data Categories You Can Request to Delete:
  • Trading History: Delete all or specific trading records and transaction history
  • Practice Mode Data: Delete all practice trading data and simulated transactions
  • Price Alerts: Delete all saved price alerts and notifications
  • Watchlists: Delete all saved watchlists and favorites
  • Achievements & Gamification: Delete badges, league rankings, and challenge progress
  • Custom Strategies: Delete all saved trading strategies
  • Usage Data: Delete app usage statistics and session data (where legally permitted)
  • Profile Information: Delete profile picture, display name, or other profile details

Note: Some data may be retained for legal or compliance reasons (see "Data That May Be Retained" section below). We will inform you if any requested data cannot be deleted due to legal obligations.

Data That Will Be Deleted

When you request full account deletion, the following data will be permanently deleted from our systems. For partial deletion requests, only the specific data categories you request will be deleted:

  • Email address
  • Username and display name
  • Password (encrypted)
  • Profile picture
  • Account creation date

✓ Personal Preferences

  • App settings and preferences
  • Notification preferences
  • Display settings (theme, language, etc.)
  • Watchlists and favorites

✓ Trading Activity Data

  • Trading history and transaction records
  • Practice mode trading data
  • Price alerts and notifications
  • Custom trading strategies

✓ Gamification Data

  • Achievements and badges
  • League rankings and scores
  • Challenge progress
  • Rewards and points

✓ Device & Usage Data

  • Device identifiers
  • App usage statistics
  • Login history
  • Session data

Data That May Be Retained

For legal, security, and compliance reasons, certain data may be retained for a limited period after account deletion:

Legal & Compliance Records

Retention Period: Up to 7 years

Reason: Required by financial regulations and anti-money laundering (AML) laws

  • Identity verification records (KYC data)
  • Transaction records required for tax reporting
  • Fraud prevention and security logs
  • Legal dispute records

Note: This data is stored securely and is not used for marketing or operational purposes.

Anonymized Analytics Data

Retention Period: Indefinite

Reason: Product improvement and research

  • Aggregated usage statistics (cannot be linked to you)
  • Anonymized performance metrics
  • De-identified research data

Note: This data is fully anonymized and cannot be used to identify you personally.

Backup Systems

Retention Period: Up to 90 days

Reason: Technical backup and disaster recovery

  • Data in backup systems will be deleted during the next backup cycle
  • Maximum retention in backups: 90 days

Important: Broker Partner Accounts

⚠️ Separate Deletion Required

STAKS is a non-custodial platform. We do not hold your cryptocurrency or manage your trading accounts directly. All trades are executed through our regulated broker partners.

What this means for data deletion:

  • Deleting your STAKS account only removes data stored by STAKS/Panoramix LLC
  • Your broker account(s) and associated data remain active
  • You must separately request deletion from each broker partner

To delete your broker account data:

  1. Log in to your broker partner's platform
  2. Navigate to their account settings or privacy section
  3. Follow their account deletion process
  4. Contact their support if you need assistance

Each broker has their own data retention policies and deletion procedures. Please review their privacy policies for details.

Deletion Timeline

For Full Account Deletion:

Day 1

Request Received

We receive your deletion request (in-app or via email)

Day 1-3

Identity Verification

We verify your identity (for email requests) and confirm the request

Day 3-7

Account Deactivation

Your account is immediately deactivated and you can no longer log in

Day 7-30

Data Deletion

Your personal data is permanently deleted from our active systems

Day 30

Confirmation

You receive email confirmation that deletion is complete

Day 30-90

Backup Deletion

Data is removed from backup systems during the next backup cycle

For Partial Data Deletion:

Partial data deletion requests follow a similar timeline but your account remains active throughout the process. The specific data you requested to be deleted will be removed within 30 days, and you will receive email confirmation once the deletion is complete.

Before You Delete Your Account

⚠️ Important Considerations

Please review the following before requesting account deletion:

  • Permanent Action: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
  • Data Loss: All your trading history, achievements, and preferences will be lost
  • No Recovery: You cannot recover your account or data after deletion
  • New Account: If you want to use STAKS again, you'll need to create a new account
  • Broker Accounts: Remember to separately delete your broker partner accounts
  • Active Trades: Close all active trades before deleting your account
  • Pending Transactions: Ensure all transactions are completed

Alternatives to Full Account Deletion

If you're concerned about privacy but don't want to delete your entire account, consider these alternatives:

  • Partial Data Deletion: Request deletion of specific data types while keeping your account (see Option B above)
  • Deactivate Account: Temporarily disable your account without deleting data
  • Adjust Privacy Settings: Limit data collection and sharing in Settings
  • Disable Notifications: Turn off all notifications and alerts
  • Remove Personal Info: Delete your profile picture and update your display name
  • Clear Specific Data: Delete trading history, watchlists, or achievements individually
